Friends of Chub,
As you may have heard, effective January 26, 2021, all international AIR travelers, 2 years of age or older, returning to the U.S. are required to produce a negative Rapid Antigen Test no more than three days prior to travel.
The Rapid Antigen Tests are the same ones currently administered on-island to satisfy the current Bahamas 5 day post-arrival testing requirement. The new Bahamas Travel Health Visas will be changed to reflect the additional testing and result for passengers to show as proof for return to the U.S.
Any updates to the Bahamas entry requirements, Bahamas Travel Health Visa and changes to protocol may be viewed here once added.
Effective May 1, 2021, visitors travelling to The Bahamas from other countries who are fully vaccinated and have passed the two-week immunity period will be exempted from COVID-19 testing requirements for entry and inter-island travel. Fully vaccinated travelers will be required to upload proof of vaccination confirming they have passed the two-week immunity period when applying for the Bahamas Travel Health Visa.
We will keep you updated as the situation progresses. As for now, there is no reason to panic over travel plans. Remain socially distanced, take appropriate personal health and safety measures, and we will see you on-island soon.
Wishing you good health and tight lines,
Chub Cay Resort & Marina
