Tropic Air Rescue twin-engine Sikorsky S76 medical helicopter parked on a runway apron

Dear Members, We are pleased to inform you of a unique opportunity for Chub Cay Club to enroll in Tropic Air Rescue, a premier helicopter evacuation membership program covering the Bahamas.

In the event of a serious medical emergency, this membership would allow immediate dispatch of a twin-engine Sikorsky S76 advanced life support medical helicopter from Fort Lauderdale to anywhere in the Bahamas. Each flight is staffed with two pilots, a flight nurse, and a medic, and is equipped to transport the patient directly to a rooftop trauma center in South Florida.

Key details

  • Affords benefits to all Chub Cay members and their guests and crew at any location in the Bahamas
  • If you the member are not present then only immediate family are covered
  • Patient must have valid U.S. entry credentials and active health insurance coverage
  • Tropic Air Rescue will seek reimbursement from the patient's insurance provider for the cost of the rescue
  • Chub Cay Club leadership fully endorses enrollment in this program

Membership cost: If approved by a majority vote in November 2025, all members (currently 140 members) will be assessed an annual fee of $3,000, payable in installments of $250/month.

This corporate membership ensures fast, reliable medical evacuation — a critical service in emergency situations where minutes can make a difference.
