Tropic Air Rescue Sign Up
Regarding the Tropic Rescue proposal, the final vote was 47% in favor and 53% against. While we won't be implementing this as a club-wide program, we completely respect the membership's decision.
Good news for individual participants: for those who still wish to join, we have arranged for Tropic Rescue to honor the original group pricing! We suggest signing up soon to get the most value from your membership, as the annual fee applies to the current calendar year (renewing January 1st).
How to enroll: please simply email Rye Laing with your confirmation and a full list of names you would like covered. Having an accurate list ensures Tropic Rescue can verify eligibility for everyone in your group. Contact: Rye Laing at rlaing@chubcay.com.
Portal use & guest policy
As we kick off the New Year, we wanted to share some exciting news: the Club is in great shape and growing faster than ever. Thank you for being part of what makes this place so special.
Growth brings change, and we've taken the lessons from last season to heart. One thing that remains constant is our commitment to safety—which means knowing who's on the island at all times.
Starting this season, we're asking every member to please hop on the portal before each visit to log your dates and who's traveling with you (family, crew, etc.). It only takes a few minutes and helps us take better care of everyone.
Guest policy: We love that you want to share Chub Cay with friends! Guests need approval for each visit, and they're welcome to join you while you're here. If flights don't align perfectly, we're happy to work with a day of flexibility—say, your guest arrives the day before you or stays a day after due to limited flight schedules.
A couple of boundaries worth noting
- Guests arriving independently by private vessel will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may require their own membership.
- We're unable to approve guest visits when the sponsoring member isn't on-island. The magic of membership is being here together—not lending out the experience.
We appreciate your understanding as we continue building something great here.
Fresh from the farm
Delicious fresh vegetables are available to order either through the ship store or directly from the farm. Farmer Lance has been busy growing a wide selection of produce for the cay and he currently has lettuces, broccoli, zucchini, kale, okra, bell pepper, cabbage, and plenty more available soon! You can order in the store and Lance can deliver to your boat or villa, direct from the farm!
The Penelope is up for sale

The fishing tournaments are almost here!
We are now only two months away from our first tournament of the year, the Chub Cay Classic.
- Chub Cay Classic – March 12th to 14th
- Chub Cay Open – March 26th to 28th
- Chub Cay Invitational (members only) – April 9th to 11th
Please remember that the Classic and the Open are open to non-members.
All three tournaments comprise of a captain's meeting on the evening of the first day, Thursday, followed by 2 full days of epic fishing on the Friday and Saturday.
We will also have a Wednesday evening dock party and the market and open bar on the Clubhouse lawn on the afternoons of the Friday and Saturday.
