A Heartfelt Farewell to Remedy

Remedy's retirement party was a wonderful evening shared by staff and guests alike. There were a few tears as touching words were spoken about his incredible half-century on Chub Cay. He has been a beloved figure for over fifty years, and while he will be deeply missed, he certainly deserves his peaceful retirement and family time!
Thank you to the members who made a special trip just for the occasion; Remedy was absolutely thrilled to see everyone there to celebrate.

Ensuring there's plenty of fish in the sea
Chub Cay proudly supports efforts to maintain and improve our beautiful local marine environment — both to protect the future of fishing and to sustain healthy ecosystems that benefit everyone.
As part of this focus, the Perry Institute for Marine Sciences (PIMS) has been commissioned by the Bahamas government to conduct a study of the South Berry Islands Marine Reserve (SBIMR). This research will evaluate the reserve's current health, assess how effectively its protections are being observed, and develop recommendations for future management.
As a stakeholder who enjoys the waters around the Cay, your input is invaluable to this process. Please take a few moments to share your perspective by completing the brief survey linked below.
New website
To keep things fresh, we've launched a beautifully redesigned website! Explore the improved layout and enhanced usability at www.chubcay.com.
On the homepage, you'll spot a rolling photo collage of the cay. We are currently finalizing a feature that will turn this into a real-time feed of Instagram posts using the tag #CHUBLIFE. We encourage all members and guests to tag their photos to add to the collection and share your island adventures with the community!
Climate-controlled storage units
Construction on our two new boat storage warehouses is officially underway! These premium units feature centralized climate control to combat tropical heat and humidity, ensuring your valuable assets remain in pristine condition year-round.
One warehouse will offer units for direct purchase, while the other will feature annual leases. Demand is extremely high, so don't miss out on this opportunity. Contact Natalie Forbes at nforbes@chubcay.com for more information and to secure your spot on the waitlist today!

Step inside to collect freshly laid eggs directly from the nesting boxes, or grab a ready-to-go carton by the door for your boat or villa. Please remember to keep the door securely closed to prevent runaways, and only feed the hens approved snacks listed on the door.
